Name: Randolph K. Yackzan - Owner of the Yackzan Group Land Development & Property Management

M.S. 1982-Civil Engineering, Sacramento State College, Sacramento, CA

Previous work experience:

• Professor Goldman’s Department at the Tahoe Research Group & Castle lake Limnological Research Station, UC Davis
• Sanitary Engineering Research Laboratory, UC Berkley
• CH2M HILL as an Environmental Engineer in San Francisco and later on at Brown & Caldwell in Sacramento
• His company now consists of 19 employees managing business and residential buildings. The Aspen neighborhood in West Davis as well as the 5th and G Street Plaza is among the many projects he has undertaken.

Graduated from LAWR in: 1974

Favorite thing about LAWR: LAWR has a small family like feeling to it. Faculty in the department cared about their students and were very helpful. I especially remember Professor Tanji who encouraged my learning efforts and gave me confidence. His spirit still inspires me up to today. Everything I did in my professional life leads me always back to the wonderful experience I had with LAWR and the expertise I acquired while being a student there.

Favorite thing about UC Davis:  Growing up in various college towns across the country the University here gives the town a great feel to it. It attracts all sorts of different interesting people to live here. Davis is just the perfect family community. Safe, great schools and the perfect location close to San Francisco, Lake Tahoe, and Napa.
