Name: Dylan Beaudette

Research Projects:
He primarily investigates the watershed-scale variability of soil properties and pedogenic environments for down-scaling soil survey data in the Sierra Foothill region of California. He also works on regional-scale aggregation of soil survey databases for water and land use planning.

Participation in the development, documentation, and testing of open source software for use in soil and earth science research.
Working with elementary to high school students in field-based demonstrations of basic soil science principles.
Favorite thing about the Soils Grad Group: The field trips as well as friendly colleagues and the dedicated faculty make being part of the Soils Grad Group a fun and exciting experience.
Favorite thing about UC Davis: Cycling, hiking in the Sierras, Hobie Cat sailing, reading, and open source software development.
